Common Name: Giant Flame Lily, Gymea Lily
Scientific Name: Doryanthes excelsa correa
Life Cycle: Evergreen
Remarks: Clumping plant with bright green leaves to 150cm long. The flowering spike can reach 3-5m high and the red flowers open during Spring.
Endemic to NSW.
Plant Height: 3-5m
When: Spring + Autumn is best, but can sow all year round.
Sowing Depth + Method: Soak seeds overnight in warm water. Raise seedlings.
