Common Name: Japanese Burdock Takinogawa Long, also known as Gobo.
Scientific Name: Arctium lappa
Remarks: A Japanese vegetable similar to salsify, used in Japanese cooking. Roots can grow up to 1 meter long!
Traditionally used for its medicinal properties in Asia (roots, leaves, seeds) as a medicinal herb. Today the root acts as a diuretic, antioxidant.
Improves blood sugar and treats skin conditions like acne and eczema.
