Scientific Name: Papaver rhoeas 

Life Cycle: Annual

Remarks: This perennial flower, normally grown as an annual is also known as "Field Poppy" or "Corn Poppy".

Type Of Seed: Open pollinated, a non-hybrid type of seed that can reproduce itself to have similar traits the parent plant from one generation to the next. If you are saving the seeds, as long as pollen is not shared between two varieties of the same species, the seeds should remain true to type year after year.

When To Sow: Late Summer + Autumn (can be sown Winter in warmer climates and Spring in cool climates).

Sowing Depth + Method: 1mm deep, sow direct is best. If raising seedlings, take care when transplanting not to disturb the roots.
