Common Name: Aster China Tower White
Scientific Name: Callistephus chinensis
Life Cycle: Annual
Remarks: Large bright white bloom, very productive with 13–20 stems per plant. Great for wedding work.
Type Of Seed: Open pollinated, a non-hybrid type of seed that can reproduce itself to have similar traits the parent plant from one generation to the next. If you are saving the seeds, as long as pollen is not shared between two varieties of the same species, the seeds should remain true to type year after year.

When: Spring or after frost
Sowing Depth + Method: Transplant (recommended) - Sow 3mm deep into the preferred seedling container, 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Heat and reduced day length initiate flowering. Establish plantings early to avoid short stems.
Direct seed - After your last frost date and when the soil temperature is 18-21°C. Provide support. Pinching is not required.
Soil requirements: Fertile, well-drained soil. pH: 5.5-7.5 preferred.
