Scientific Name:  Callistephus chinensis

Life Cycle: Annual 

Remarks: New! Abundant peachy apricot blooms.

Sturdy, upright productive and healthy plants.
2.5 - 5cm wide peach blooms open to a gold centre.
Spray-type plants produce 18-40 cm stems.
The seed has been coated with conventional film-coating for ease of sowing.

Type Of Seed: Open pollinated, a non-hybrid type of seed that can reproduce itself to have similar traits the parent plant from one generation to the next. If you are saving the seeds, as long as pollen is not shared between two varieties of the same species, the seeds should remain true to type year after year.

Plant Height: 60 - 80cm

When: Spring

Sowing Depth + Method: Transplant (recommended) 3mm deep 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Heat and reduced day length initiate flowering. Establish plantings early to avoid short stems. Direct seed - After your last frost date and when soil temperature is 18-21°C. Provide support. Pinching is not required.

Requires fertile, well-drained soil. pH: 5.5-7.5 preferred.

Spacing: 15-30cm apart

Days until Germination: 10 - 14 days @ 21-22°C

Seed to Bloom: 14 weeks

Vase Life:  7-10 days

Fresh: Outside ray florets begin to open. Place immediately in water.

Dried: When blooms are fully open.

Please Note:

  • Orders are sent weekly on a Wednesday morning, as they require a quarantine inspection on arrival.
  • Order cut off is midnight Tuesday night as long as payment is finalised. Sometimes paypal payments can take 24-48hrs to go through. This is rare. If this is the case the order will go into the following week's dispatch.
  • Please note not all seeds can be sent to WA. Seeds that cannot be sent are marked on the thumbnail or below the price on the product page. These seeds are NOT permitted to WA.
  • Unfortunately due the way our orders get to WA Quarantine we cannot send large items like accessories, books etc.
  • Unfortunately we don't offer Express Post to WA as the parcels are sent weekly and defeats the purpose of Express post. You can however choose parcel post.

Letter Post: $7.50 (No Tracking) this includes the cost of quarantine inspection.

Parcel Post: $13.90 this includes quarantine inspection fees (Parcels that contain large item accessories like trugs, herb dryers and large books are charged $16.95)

Tracking for parcel post will kick in after it has been inspected at WA quarantine and enters the mail stream. There is no tracking on letters.

Sorry we cannot offer free post to WA due to the cost of quarantine inspection fees.
