Scientific Name: Dodonaea viscosa ssp. cuneata
Life Cycle: Evergreen
Remarks: An extremely hardy species.
Native Hops, Dodonaea viscosa were grown and used to make beer by early European Australians.
It was also traditionally used by Indigenous Australians to treat cuts and even stings from stingrays!
The flowers are male or female and usually occur on separate plants.
Endemic to NSW, Victoria and South Australia.
NOTE: When growing edible native food, the consumer should do their own research first if planning on consuming.

When: Spring + Autumn is best, but can be sown all year.
Sowing Depth + Method: Soak overnight with almost boiling water, raise seedlings.
