Life Cycle: Tender perennial
Remarks: Deep-blue spikes bloom summer to frost. Well-suited for mass plantings. Strong, thin stems are harvested fresh or dried when bottom 3-4 flowers open.
When: Spring + Early Summer (all year round in warmer climates)
Height: 45-65cm
Sewing Depth + Method: Transplant (recommended): Sow 6–8 weeks before the last frost. Gently press seed 6mm deep into the soil but do not cover, as light is required for germination. Bottom-water or mist to avoid covering the seed with displaced soil. Harden off and transplant outside after the last frost.
