Common Name: Rudbeckia Sahara Flower, also known as Black eyed susan, gloriosa daisy

Scientific Name: Rudbeckia hirta

Life Cycle: Annual 

Remarks: A mix of rich, fall colours and soft pastels. Includes shades of copper, brown, pale yellow, and soft rose. 5-8cm double and semidouble blooms. 

 
NOTE: Sahara plants are compact in stature (reaching a maximum height of 50cm). Though the colors in this mix are highly sought after for cut flowers, the stems are only useful for shorter bouquets and design work.

Sewing Depth + Method:

Cover seed very lightly as light is needed for germination. 

Bottom water or mist to avoid covering the seed. 

Pinching is not required.
